How to get a facebook proxy at college?
The best method is to use TORPark on a USB flash drive if you can.

TOR is "The Onion Router" - a proxy mesh which can be used to browse the Internet anonymously, it routes your connection through multiple layers of proxies (hence the name "onion router") for anonymous and unmonitored internet access. TOR is made by EFF, a non-profit organisation dedicated to protecting online freedom of speech and privacy.

TORPark is a custom version of Mozilla Firefox which does not need to be installed (it runs from a flash drive), and only connects to the TOR network. When you use TORPark it will look like you're connecting to a website over a secure connection, your college won't be able to see which sites you are actually viewing on the other side of the TOR network.

The other option is to install PHProxy on your own website, and use that to surf blocked sites. This isn't as secure as TOR though because it isn't encrypted, and I don't know if it works with facebook.

Reply:www.facebookproxy.co.uk is pretty good.

you can look at stuff and poke people but not much else, you won't find a proxy that will.

sadly my workplace blocks all anonymisers :-( just can't outsmart those IT guys.
