Meeting someone on Facebook.?

So, I'm in my freshman year at college and on facebook i saw someone who i thought was really cute that goes to my school and is probably in my league, and i would really like to meet him. So i friended him (which people do all the time to random people who go to their school so hat wasn't that creepy), but i really am interested in meeting him, but i don't know how to approach him (if at all). So I'm looking for suggestions as to what i should do: like message him or poke him or something or would that come off as creepy? any suggestions would be great.

I actually met my gf in real life but first contacted her on facebook for a "date" I'd say a poke wouldn't be out of the question, if he's a fun guy, he would become curious and maybe check your profile. Whether he pokes back or not, send him a message in 2 or 3 days. College is cool because you don't have to dress up to go to an event on campus, which you could invite him to. Good luck! By the way, "leagues" don't exist in true relationships.
Reply:well if you can remember what he looks like, bump into him in the halls(literally). Start a conversation with him, and if it goes well give him your #. Just be sure not to mention you added him on face book, or it would creep him out(a little). If he calls, he likes you. If he doesn't, he is busy or doesn't like you back.
