do colleges look on facebook and search up students?

like do they look on the persons profile and then decide not to accept them?

Do colleges search peoples names on facebook?
if you want to avoid this, just edit your personal settings and there it allows you to hide your profile from all search queries. For caution, you can also delete your last name or just leave it on first letter.
Reply:Yes and so do potential employers!
Reply:I'm not completely sure, but I've heard from a good amount of people that they do. This one senior guy told me he deleted his facebook b/c he was filling out college applications and he didn't want any chance of them basing their acceptance on his facebook account.

Better be safe, than sorry and not even know it.

You might want to delete it when you start to apply to colleges, or at least put up very strong privacy settings, but its your choice.
Reply:omygosh! if they do, that is so sketchy!
Reply:Yes, so that is why you do not put things on there to make them think negatively or you. Or you use the Limited Profile option to allow some users to see certain things, such as pictures, etc.
