Why do teens in high school and college post pictures of themselves getting drunk or having sex on facebook?

More importantly, why do teens that use myspace and facebook assume their parents have absolutely NO WAY of finding and viewing their pages?





You'd be suprized at the number of friends of mine whose parents actaully some way or another have seen their pages...

Having lived through all of that, I believe it remains a part of being somewhat immature and wanting others to see you as being "fun loving" and "crazy."

Reply:The answer lies in societies evolution over the past 3 decades to replace relationships between people with government intervention. (nanny state)





This is a very complicated subject, but simply put - children today, especially from single parent homes are 90% more likely to commit crimes, do drugs, get poorer marks, lower paying jobs, and so forth - all because they lack a strong disciplinary role model. Like teaching an animal with strict rules, Children need the same.


Over 90% of our teen pregnancies, rapists, murderers, and prostitutes are from single mother homes. And everywhere we look, all over the internet, and on gov't websites we see the same general pattern.





The reality today, is more children (just in 2006) are now living in broken homes than homes with the original mother and father there. Unfortunately, the "step father, or boyfriend" who substitutes as dad does more harm than good, when both are over 10 times more likely to commit harm, abuse, or molestation against the child than his biological father.





The importance of the father in the full time role of his children is directly correlated with the garbage generation theory, that being no society climbed out of the stone age historically unless it had a 2 parent home - allowing a strict, long childhood for children to grow and nuture.


Today, we see the opposite regression, children growing up younger without morals and values.





This is also why I feel oriental people are more advanced than whites. (And I'm white.) There 2 parent system originated 5000 years ago, while whites originated only 2000+ years ago. Africans run around 500 years to present day.





So children growing up in 2 parent homes, that aren't spoiled, and see mom and dad putting mom and dad first (not the kids first) is actually the key to success - and every PHD psychologist will acknowledge this.
Reply:Because they are stupid....it's as plain as that. Why else would you post a picture of you (usually underage) really drunk having sex with someone? They'd be so upset if mommy or daddy dug through their room and found the pictures...but what they aren't thinking about is that they are eliminating the need to dig...it's right there for the world to see.

Reply:In case you haven't noticed people seem to be trying to revert back to cavemen.


Pay attention: they wear less clothes, domestic violence is on the rise and you can't go to any dance club or night club or bar where you are not subjected to a public display of sex. They don't dance anymore they stand there screwing with their clothes on. Oh, and Pole Dancing is the new 'in' thing.





Just get used to it. The movie Freejack was ahead of its time in that the middle class is being annihilated. The day is close coming that you will either be street trash or filthy rich. Just stay in college and choose your path.

Reply:LOL, I know what you mean! It's funny to look at them and show your parents! My roommate for college has one where she's drunk and it's funny to look at since I showed them and they wonder what they got themselves into for college. :P
