Should I get a facebook?

All of my friends have facebooks and I'm leaving for college at the end of the summer. Should I get a facebook to keep in touch with my friends better; they are all going across the country for college.

Or is getting a facebook a trap?

I've never had a myspace or anything just because I always try to be a non conformist, so is getting a facebook conforming or is it something that I should just get and shut up?

Should I get a facebook?
I think you're doing the right thing by not getting into facebook or myspace. If your friends are close enough then I'm sure you'll keep in touch. If they're not, then who really cares. Facebook and myspace become addictions and in the end only tend to cause conflict between people. Then once you get a gf, it's like WTF WHO IS SHE!
Reply:It's a good way to keep in touch.

hahaha im friends with some of my kindergarten friends,

but it causes drama.

i changed schools because watever its a long story

but i hate facebook

its the worst
Reply:Facebook is alright. I, personally don't use it much because it's a bit confusing. If you're going to try and keep in touch with your friends, perhaps get a myspace. It's a bit easier to use and you should be able to understand it fairly quickly
Reply:Yes. I have a Myspace and Facebook. I have to say Facebook is way better! It has a lot more features and not as many ways to get a hacked profile like Myspace. Also its a great way to get in touch with old friends from school and stay associated with friends you have now.
Reply:Depends.

I'm a web programmer and I spent quite a bit of time online. My friends also spend quite a bit of time online as well. I signed up for a facebook almost 2 years after I had finished college, so being in college really isn't a prereq.

If you like sharing photos with friends, scrapbooking, leaving notes for your friend etc, then it would be a good idea. Elsewise, you won't die if you don't have a facebook.
Reply:yess all people is doing it
