I am just graduating college and slowly getting some interviews. Is it unprofessional to keep a facebook / myspace account?

no, its not necessarily unprofessional to have an account with either facebook or myspace. you just have to remember that prospective employers may find/view your facebook/myspace, so be careful of what you put up on either. as long as you keep both professional (no more drunk passed out on the toilet pictures, or videos of punching your friends) and dont complain about your job/company, you should be fine.








i guess what im saying is, just dont put up anything you would be embarrassed about if brought up in front of your mom.

Reply:So long as you don't have anything really bad on there, I wouldn't worry about it. A lot of potential employers will google your name before hiring you, just to see what all is out there. Just avoid putting things there that you wouldn't want a prospective employer to know. You might even want to try putting something positive on there. If you really aren't sure about something being on there, then don't put it there.
