Can you request that Facebook open up a new network?

I work at a widely attended summer camp. Is there any way that I can request that Facebook create a network for the camp? They create college, high school, regional, and business networks, so this would fit under at least one of them.

Can you request that Facebook open up a new network?
If it's a summer camp or something like that, no.

Since it isn't an all-year school/business/etc.

It is common, however, to make a group titled like "Camp ____ Summer '07" or whatever the details were, or even just the name of the camp, and then have the people who attended the camp join.
Reply:I would think it would be possible, but two *very important* things must happen before they would add your proposed network:

1. Your camp must have it's own website and email addresses that end in the same domain as the website. For example, if your camp is called "Camp Spotted Owl" and the website is http://www.cso.org, then the staff at such camp must have email addresses like "director@cso.org" and ideally all the staffers also have email addresses "@cso.org".

2. Assuming the above is true, it usually takes a while (about 2 weeks to 3 months) worth of constant requests sent to by many staffers before they decide to go ahead and add it.

If you look at my profile, you will see a recent question posted that was similar to yours. Someone who read my posting (but did not post an answer nor asked the question) asked me to help him out in adding his college as a school network. This was a month ago, and just this past Tuesday I saw a notification that he had just joined his school's network,

Basically, if the above two points are true, then I highly encourage you to be very persistent in getting your network listed. The people at Facebook love people who do not give up easily.
