Is anyone else tired of Facebook?

I've had my facebook for almost 4 years now. I started one freshman year of college when it first started.

Now with all the new applications (i.e. like the instant messaging, etc.) I am getting kind of creeped out.

I have disabled my account for 2 weeks now and feel surprisingly free. I kind of like my privacy now, as I feel that everyone else (well my facebook friends) read my wall and know what I'm up to.

I used to never have a wall either, but reactivated it last semester for the hell of it....

but now I'm just kind of annoyed with it.

Is anyone else tired of Facebook?
I hear ya, FB has been sucking hard for a long time now. I rarely update anything on it. Funny story, they deactivated my account one day because they didn't like my name "The Burchinator" even though I'd had it for 3 years. The only reason I gave in and changed it to my real name was because all my pictures are on there and I lost the originals. It's good for storage, and sometimes writing a few notes. Other than that it's pretty lame.

I continually get friend request from people I haven't talked to in years "just to stay in touch". Dude, there's a reason we never stayed in touch. Don't try to be my FB friend if you aren't my friend in real life. Clowns.
Reply:yea i am......i mean ...its just a waste of time going to check out ur requests and other stuff.....it was too exiting at first but its ......TOO borin now...lol.....

Have a Good Day!

Reply:Oh my god yes, totally bored of it.

It was fun, and very addictive at first, seeing what everyone is up to after highschool (I am 24) and what not, but after a while it was like, ok I am sick of knowing what every single person I ever knew is doing or friends with, or what ever, and I have only had my account for a year.

I just deleted it, and like you said, feel free, facebook is sort of like highschool, just a big old gossip fest!!!
Reply:I do love Facebook, but I would wish they would cease with the applications...slideshows, drinks, and "are your friends like you" applications are fine, but all the pointless one like partners in crime or whatever are pointless...it also becomes like MySpace and takes forever to load...at least Facebook has limits.
Reply:I'm tired of it too, but I have to keep on looking cos it's addictive. Every so often I think about deleting my account all together so that no one knows what I am up to, although I don't post that stuff up anyway nor do I post any pics... It is just a point of contact for me to all of my long lost friends, that is all...
Reply:I really dont like facebook.

Its pointless!

I mean come on!!
Reply:I'm tired of all the crap sites like myspace and facebook, but I'm not tired of social networking. I have friends all over the place and it's nice to be able to see what they're up to %26amp; such.

I prefer to use Yuniti ( http://yuniti.com ) though because it isn't all just spam and annoying popularity contests, its actually useful. And I can show specific people specific things, which I find handy.
Reply:i could be doing much better things with my time. facebooks a waste
Reply:I've only been on a year so still love it, caught up with loadsof people I haven't seen in years.

Wish they'd stop all these daft applications though, very annoying, I refuse to add any
Reply:facebook is great.

it just might not be the 1 for u
