College question?

So i have a question it's a tad bit weird though. PLEASE give opinion's. I recently got accepted into Kutztown University and Bloomsburg University and i am looking into both schools. I went visited campus and loved both of them. I really wanted to talk to a student about both schools and i do have a facebook. I was considering looking on facebook and adding a random person from each of those schools since i do not know anybody and asking them how they liked the college. IS THAT WEIRD? and what do i say to the person if they accept me on facebook? Would you think it was weird? what if the person think's i'm weird? HELP PLEASE should i do it? I want to choose the right school for me

College question?
Do not misrepresent yourself. Lying never gets people anywhere.

Both schools likely have student life coordinators or reps you can help you with your questions. It is a very good idea to visit the schools. If it's really a tie-breaker for you, look at other things like which school has the best reputation for the program you are entering. Which school is closest to the most important urban centre, etc. Schools closer to large cities tend to have more resources available to them both during academics and in the professional world.

Maybe someone on here is attending or alumni of those schools and they can help but don't make up fake aliases and stuff. That's just lame.
Reply:I am not real familiar with Facebook, but when you do try and add someone, is there a place to type a short message explaining why you want to add them? If so, just do that and tell them you want to ask their opinion of the school.
Reply:Personally (if I went there), I would just tell you about the school, what is good, what is bad, etc., but that might just be me.

Maybe you should ask your college advisor from each school to set up a meeting with a student from the school so you can talk to them (the college advisors will do just about anything to help you in choosing the college that's right for you).

Also you could go to your high school guidance office, they are always willing to help anyway they can (they may know a student that is currently going to school there and may be able to set up a meeting so you can talk to them about the school).
Reply:dont worry oyur streesing to much dont add random people talk what school do you feel more comfortable its hard but you need to find what school best fits you
Reply:hi

i think u need time for u and ur self
Reply:Ask here is anyone goes to those schools.
Reply:No... Don't do that because you have a very good chance of finding somebody that is very unlike yourself, and their experience will be very different than that which you are likely to experience. A much better way is to look on the website of the university, find a page on student organizations and find one that you feel as though you would enjoy being a part of. Then, contact that organization directly and ask to speak to one of the members. You are much more likely to have something in common with these people.

Of course, one of the best parts of my college career was meeting people that were completely different from myself.

I have two very definite recommendations for any college experience. One is join a fraternity or sorority. It may be cliche but you will make friends that you will keep for the rest of your life. The second is either be a resident assistant or get to be best friends with one. They are your ticket to getting away with anything on the campus. They know tons of people and they are usually in pretty good with all of the cops. They also know the people who run the school on a first name basis. That can't hurt.

If you join the right organization and meet but a few key people,

your college experience will go on long after you graduate.
Reply:No, it is not weird because I did that I am going to Tougaloo College so I asked someone from that school to be my friend on facebook and I just asked them how is up there because I want to go to that school and they answered me....so no its not weird.
