I met someone through facebook that I have never met before. However, we have mutual friends.?

I was on facebook leaving my friend a comment, and I noticed this other guy that left a comment. I added him to be my friend, which is completely out of the ordinary for me. Ever since then we have talked everyday, either through email, texting, or talking on the phone. I have connected with him on a level I never thought possible. I am trying to think of every possible way this could go wrong. He is friends with a few people I went to high school with. I even googled his name, and his stories add up. He said he went to college for a golf scholarship, and a newspaper article with that very college came up with his name in it. I have no problems meeting men but, I feel weird meeting someone this way, At the sametime, I feel like I could really have something with him. He is the first person I talk to in the morning and the last at night. I am flying to Miami from Atlanta to see him... am I crazy? I just need some words of wisdom or encouragement.

I actually thought you were going to ask a similar question that I've seen before which is "I met this person through facebook. I comment everyday. Do I have a chance?"





But you talk to him everyday through email, texting and even talking on the phone. I don't think that you are crazy. It's possible to meet someone on facebook. The fact that you communicated with him through pretty much every possible way that separated people can communicate, shows that you are ready to meet him.





Because you are going to meet him face to face for the first time, I think that you should just know that he may not be what you expect in terms of personality...but I guess that sort of takes care of that since you talked to him on the phone.

Just make sure you meet in a public place and bring your mobile etc just so that if by chance it does go wrong you'll be pretty safe.

Reply:Well you do what you want when you meet him, but make sure that everyone knows where you're going, has his name and contact number. Give them his address where you're going to be and call again as soon as you get there with the actual address.





If you've got a camera phone, just get him to pose with you for a "cute pic" of the 2 of you and then text it to a friend. This way everybody knows what he really looks like, who you're with, where you are, so god forbid if something DOES happen at least the cavalry will know where to find you.
