Whats so great about facebook?

ok i am only 14 and i have a myspace...but my older cuzins r like facebook is so much better....(i dont want one)....so what exactly is it??...i mean dont u hav to b in like college to have one?

Whats so great about facebook?
The one GREAT thing about Facebook, is it's easy to share your photos. So, say a group of you go out, and instead of having to tell everyone to send you the pics, on Facebook, each person loads them up to their page. Then they "tag" other people that are in the photo. Once someone is "tagged" it goes on their page, then they have the option of keeping it or deleting it.

One of my friends STILL hasn't sent me pictures from St. Patricks Day (she doesn't have a facebook) but I got the ones my other friend took, cause she put them up on facebook.

Sorry about the rant, but yeah, myspace is better except for that.
Reply:I think MySpace is better than Face Book. FaceBook is similar to MySpace in very few ways.

No, you don't have to be in college to have an account.
Reply:It's "neater" in terms of organization.

I'm 15 and in a high school network on facebook, but I still think myspace is better in means of customization.
Reply:Twitter.com is the next big thing.

It's like Friendster, MySpace, and Facebook but incredibly addictive.
Reply:It was originally meant for people in college, but since they opened it up to any and everyone it's now become some sort of myspace knockoff.

I used to like it when it was restricted to people in college. It was great because it was almost like a yearbook (as corny as it may sound). You'd see pics of everyone's drunken nights, bar hopping and just normal college junk like that
Reply:u dont have to be in college, any1 can join it

it is better.. it is spreading faster than anything else
Reply:If you are 14 you will probably like Myspace better. I am 41 and like Facebook better. For the very reasons that others have complained about Facebook are the reason I like it. I would rather have facebook because it has a cleaner look. It is standardized and best of all it does not have music on the pages. My kids love music on the pages.

This being said, it is just an opinion. People are different and like different things. If you ask ten people what is the best, you will get ten answers.

The answer is what ever you like. Try both and make your decision based on what you like. I hope that helps.
Reply:facebook is better because when you are in college you do not have time to keep changing your myspace layout all the time and changing your song. I know that you dont have to change it but after having it for a while you get sick of it!! Facebook you do not have to worry about that. People will come to your page to say hi just because they have something to say, not to leave stupid chain comments and stupid graphics on your page. Also you can tag people on it which is pretty cool. And you do not have to worry about stupid hackers adn dumb advertisements everywhere =]
Reply:it's mostly for high school and college students...you don't have to be though, but it's to keep in contact with other students. i'm kind of bored of it now, all you do is write messages on your friends profiles, join groups, and upload a bunch of photos and that's pretty much it...there's a few cool different features on it which i've never seen on any other site though.
Reply:no, you don't have to be in college to have one.

nothing is special about it in my opinion. it's pretty boring actually. you can't do anything with it like customize your profile. all you can do is put text on your page. pretty ghey if you ask me.

don't get one, myspace is alot better.

I am having trouble adding courses to my facebook page.?

Whenever i try to add courses to my facebook page, i keep getting classes from my highschool, and i want to my college courses.

I am having trouble adding courses to my facebook page.?
Make the college your primary network.

Is masturbating over Facebook acceptable?

15.5% of men admitted to masturbating to Facebook pictures (source: www.CollegeHumor.com/facebook-survey). The reaction to this is mixed. Some guys say 'yeah that's cool I do it', some say 'why not just watch porn?'. Girls say 'oh that's gross but I'd be flattered' or 'that's completely creepy and wrong'.

I would like to know if masturbating to Facebook (without the person's knowledge or consent) is acceptable or not. As teenagers, most guys must have wanked over fantasies of girls in thier class etc. In this digital age, hi-res photos of girls you know are available. Is masturbatng to them online so different?

Secondary Question:

Ocassionally, if I'm bored and in the mood - masturbate to pics of girls I find hot in my College. They are usually quite hot, girls I have met once or twice but don't know well. It is only this type of relationship to a girl that can get me off. If I know them too well, or they are strangers to me, I don't get off no matter how hot they are. Why is this?

Is masturbating over Facebook acceptable?
i do find it kinda gross but since you post your fotos there in public that means that its your fault/responsibility,for eg if dont want boys to masturbate with your picture the only way to stop this is to delete all your fotos....boys will always be boys we cant change that, they wont use porn probably because they prefer to see the face of the girl that they like instead of porn starring woman.

To second question well you wont masturbate with their foto because in a way is ethical wrong because you start to get to know them and therefore respect them, thats the reason y you cant get off.now if they are completely strangers to you maybe its because that you are not the kind of guy that gets really turned on just by looking at a girl but needs to know what type of person she is (approximately) for eg if she s a snob or not,a stupid or smart one.
Reply:Whatever floats your boat and gets you off...
Reply:first question: why not use porn? maybe it's just me or I don't have a good enough imagination but if a girl isn't naked, I'm not that turned on. I guess it's acceptable if you wanna do it.....who's gonna stop you?

Second question: hell if I know buddy
Reply:Primary question; I think its fine. I do it if theres a hot enough girl and I need to lose the rocks.

Secondary; You have an emotional attachments to them. Which is fair enough. That syndrome Doesnt affect me though
Reply:Ofcourse maturbating is about those women u cant f.u.c.k in real life ....definiltly u r not gonna ask every woman u fantacise about "Hey hey can i fuc.k u in my dream"...
Reply:Just make sure you have plenty of screen wipes. And dont leave the keyboard all sticky.
Reply:O_O

Some girls will be freaked out!...pwnd
Reply:permission granted my friend it would be better with cyber sex of the girl your strummin your pink guitar too but hey as long as they bounce ill pounce

question 2 idk but i think you could make a sitcom if you ever dated
Reply:you can orgasm to anything if you use this technic, take a banana peel toss it in the microwave for 20 seconds wrap it around your johnson and have fun , you can even look at pictures of your sisters and have an orgasm

CAN SOMEONE ANSWER THiS ABOUT MYSPACE & FACEBOOK ?!?!?

i dont have either, but curious i know college kids have a ton of people on their friends list because they know high school %26amp; college people, but i was surprised when i saw how many everyone had. in hs mainly, i know kids who i never thought knew anyone, and on avergae hs people have 150-300 friends. particularly facebook im talking, am i missing something or do people just make their friends list with basically anyone they remotely know or in their school/grade? is their a lot of chatting going on, other than "hey, what's up", between the 300 friends of these people, or is it usually just like ten or so they relly talk on a daily/weekly basis?? talking hs kids here, im not familiar with it.

CAN SOMEONE ANSWER THiS ABOUT MYSPACE %26amp; FACEBOOK ?!?!?
myspace is lame, facebook are for people that are more respectful.
Reply:people dont always add just people they already know... you can browse all the myspace users and people will add other people randomly as friends just because they have something in common or they are attracted to that person or some just to have the most friends
Reply:well I dont know everyone on my friends list but i only talk to about 10 of them daily. The others is a "sup" once in a while
Reply:SOME personally know who's on their buddy list but with others it's more of a popularity thing as far as who can get the most friends.

Is it true that women would most likely to respond to a facebook message?

I am just trying to hook up with someone, and I get the feeling that facebook would be better than myspace because women would feel more comfortable. (college campus)

Is it true that women would most likely to respond to a facebook message?
try doing it in person. that is a lot more successful. i do not know how many lies you are telling me on facebook, but if i see you in person in the quad or between classes i can know you are for real, and not some creepy old pervert.

(you might still be a creepy young pervert, but at least i will know what you look like)

Creepy to add a girl on Facebook after just meeting her???

I'm a 22 year old college student and on the second day of classes, I met a very attractive girl. We actually have more than 1 class together so we didn't meet right away.

She finally introduced herself to me today and I introduced myself to her of course.

I'm confused if I should do anything now or what. I'm thinking about adding her on facebook because I know her first name and I can just look her last name up on the class roster. But I'm afraid it might look creepy.

What should I do?

If you were a girl in this situation and a guy from a class that you weren't particularily interested in sent you a message over facebook or myspace, would you think it was creepy or would you not think too much of it.

Creepy to add a girl on Facebook after just meeting her???
I would wait and talk to her a bit more in class first, then add her on facebook after that.
Reply:No, I wouldn't think it was creepy (especially if he's cute) but I probably would suspect he has a bit of interest in me. Considering you barely know her, it might give you away. But then again, there are lots of people who will friend anyone they recognize or have made eye contact with before.

Why don't you get to know her a little better, talk to her casually in class. Wait till you've had a few more conversations and then it will seem less weird if you add her as a friend. Don't rely on facebook to get to know her or ask her out. If you talk to her more and get to know her personally, you won't have to worry about looking weird by adding her AND you can get a feel as to whether she's interested or not.
Reply:It's good you are considering that it might be creepy. That tells me, it's NOT creepy. If you thought it was fine and you were just moving forward with it, it'd be weird. Maybe just say "Hey add me to your Facebook" and let HER add YOU. Then it's all fine.
Reply:id do it, if she asks why just say ur in my class so i wanted to add you, i did it to all my new friends, dosent really say anything
Reply:thats not creepy at all
Reply:Send her a poke.
Reply:wait to add her until you have seen and talked to her once or twice more. then that away youll be sure that wasnt just a once time thing.
Reply:maybe you shouldn't do it yet. get to know her for a bit then you can ask her for her permission i guess to add her or something. or maybe you can casually slip it in about wanting to add her or something. just don't do it now, wait a little bit longer
Reply:I would be flattered if I were her.
Reply:She might find that a little bit creepy. Talk to her some more and get to know her better. If you just suddenly add her she might wonder, "Did he go on Facebook and look just to see if I had one?" That seems like a stalker. One day while you two are talking casually ask, "Hey, do you have a Facebook/Myspace?" If she says yes say, "Cool, would it be okay if I added you as one of my friends?"

I wouldn't just go and look her up on Facebook.
Reply:probably should become a better friend in real life first. Use facebook to stay connected not to connect..
Reply:it's only facebook. go for it

Should I get Facebook?

Looking for any advice on whether or not I should get Facebook? I had set up an account a year and a half ago during the first week my school was on there and then spent 8 hours that first day making my profile, looking up friends (both new and old), and looking up random people from my school. It was then that I realized how much time I wasted and how addictive it was so I closed my account that same day. All of my friends are on it and are telling me to get it since many of them are either graduating from college this year or go to schools in other states and say it helps to keep in touch. I've been preaching against it and resisting the urge to join, but reconsidering now. Let me know what you think.

Thanks...

Scott

Should I get Facebook?
It is indeed VERY addictive. I have spent many hours on it. BUT, that being said, I also find it to be a really great way to keep in touch with my friends from other schools! Plus, after you've looked at everything, you can leave it alone for several weeks, just checking it when someone leaves a comment on your wall or sends you a message.
Reply:My daughter is part of it and it does help her keep in touch with her friends who have went to other colleges. It is also how her boyfriend broke up with her. He had the nerve to first post that he had a weird relationship with her--then he changed it to say he was single.
Reply:I have Facebook, and it is a great way to keep up with friends. In fact, I would say it is one of the best ways to reconnect with old friends because the forum is fairly closed - ie, you have to have a valid .edu address and people must be recognized by you in order to view your personal information. However, it can be addictive; I have friends who spend hours a day on Facebook. I think it is like any other website or game; it can be a great tool so long as you practice restraint and use it in moderation. That being said, happy facebooking!
Reply:I love Facebook. It's addictive at first but then you get over it. You just have to learn to control yourself. Go ahead. The pros outweigh the cons by a mile.
Reply:It's addictive for about the first few weeks. After you've had it for a while you tend to completely ignore it. I used to be addicted to facebook and now I don't even think of "Facebook People" as real human beings anymore.

That being said, yes, it is good for keeping in touch with people. My advice to you is if that you're worried about wasting valuable academic time (like I am right now) wait until the current semester ends (if it hasn't already for you) and then re-open your account.
Reply:heyblue, not anymore with the edu address since there is now facebook for high school(is anybody as mad as I am about this). Anyway, scott, you got good advices, but still want to offer my two cents.

Yes Facebook is addictive, but curb the amt of time you spend on it. Not only is it a great way to keep up with friends,it's also good for keeping up with teachers. I had an english teacher who sent the class updates and posted homework links on there.

Finally if you're the type(like me) that hates calling people, it's a great way to talk to people without hearing their voices and wasting minutes.

Happy Facebooking.
Reply:Just look ahead and see if you'd be willing to email your entire class your new email address each and every time. Having a profile (either facebook or myspace) is like having your own private website you can update with stuff about you. including email addresses.
